Since writing last week's article I received an email from Wallaceburg Gentleman, the client who is using Feng Shui to clarify his life path and get moving along it. He happily reports that he has received funding to attend college to learn new skills to improve his employability. Congratulations WG, and may the Feng Shui forces be with you as you embark on this new journey. This year February 14 is not only Valentine's Day, it is also the Chinese New Year. The Year of the Tiger, which is also known by its formal name of Geng Yin, begins on this day. This information can help us to understand what the tone of the coming year may be like and to prepare for it accordingly. Think of the tiger and its ways. They are solitary nocturnal animals who will stand concealed and silent for hours at the edge of a waterhole until the moment comes when they spy their prey and pounce upon it. The flow of energy for 2010 will model this activity. There will be periods of very quiet activity interspersed with periods of extreme activity.
This stop and start pattern and the lack of the element water during this year makes flow difficult to come by. This is a good year to learn how to be in harmony with chaos. Huh! Isn't that an oxymoronic statement? Yes it is, but it is perfect for describing the year ahead. Learn how to let things be when they are quiet, surrender and relax into it, and breathe deeply and often when things are crazy busy. Learn to adapt and you will become more resilient. That is the true purpose of chaos in our lives. It tests and stretches us and molds us into a form that reaches beyond the limitations that we thought we were. So be with it all and let yourself be transformed into the new you.
If you are getting stuck anywhere in this process of transformation seek help from teachers and mentors who can help you to learn new skills such as meditation and energy harmonizing, so that you can let go and find your own personal flow. One of my Jin Shin Jyustu(R) colleagues teaches her clients that “Safety Energy Lock 1 is called The Prime Mover. It is found on the inside (medial side) of the knees. It connects extreme heights with extreme depths and harmonizes us from head to toe because it helps the descending energy (which moves down the front) and the ascending energy (which moves up the back). If you want to change your life, hold SEL 1 every day for an hour.” see http://jsj-holds.blogspot.com/search/label/26%20Safety%20Energy%20Locks .
2010 is a great year to make positive changes if you work with the energetic opportunities available to you. You can choose to bare up and just survive this year or you can jump in, enjoy the ride, and grow. It is all up to you and your attitude.
